Airthereum, a startup company in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry, has an ecosystem of applications that all function as a separate branch of the brand. Fly was the first app set to launch in the ecosystem, the app under the Airthereum umbrella that is a booking platform for private jet charter. My team and I had whiteboard sessions to ideate a direction for this sub-brand concluding we wanted to push for a retro style that reflected the golden age of flight but with an updated modern twist. Pulling color palettes and iconography from vintage airline branding, I created a look and feel that touched on the retro look but with a modern simplified pictorial based interface paired with a duo-tone style.
